Tips n Tricks
Tips for using deer scent with your M.R.Bucks' Scent Tubes.
- Use as a cover scent. Put a couple of scent tubes up in the tree with you.
- Use as yardage markers. Set multiple scent tubes at different yardages around your deer stand.
- Wicks can be used as a drag rag. Rip off two wicks and tie a string in between the two, then soak with deer scent and drag a path. Start at your stand and walk away so the strongest deer scent is closest to you.
- Trappers - use as a scent post.
- Try M.R.Bucks' Scent Tubes in your garden as a deer repellent! Use coyote scent to keep deer away. Remember to change the deer scent in your tubes weekly.
- Natural scents are best but go bad faster. They will last about one week. Smell for ammonia to tell if the deer scent has gone bad.
- Use more than one kind of scent. Not all deer smell the same.
- You don't need an overpowering amount of deer scent in one spot. Deer will smell these just fine. Remember a deer's nose is hyper (scents) ative.
- Use rubber gloves to prevent contamination of your deer scent.
- Spray your tubes with a scent eliminator before you go out.
- To clean, boil in baking soda and distilled water for ten minutes between uses.
